[ telc Deutsch B1 – Zertifikat Deutsch ]

telc Deutsch B1 (Zertifikat Deutsch) is a German-language exam at CEFR level B1, with which you demonstrate that you can use German competently in everyday situations. The certificate at CEFR level B1 is recognised for acquiring German citizenship. You sit the exam – as an external candidate too – with us at the Frankfurt test centre.

How registration works

To the exam in six steps

3Pay the fee (credit card or PayPal).
4Receive confirmation by email.
5On exam day, arrive 15 min. early and bring valid photo ID.

Are telc exams officially recognised?

In Germany, telc GmbH is the German federal government's partner for the language exam concluding the integration courses. telc German certificates are recognised in all German-speaking countries for residence permits; B1 can serve as language proof for naturalisation.

How can I register?

Directly via the booking window at the bottom of this page. Choose a date and complete the registration form.

Is there a registration deadline?

Registration is possible as long as places are available and there is at least one week between registration and the date.

How long do results take?

As a rule, around 4–6 weeks; we then send you the certificate.

What do I need to bring?

A valid ID, passport or residence permit with a photo.
