The TOEFL iBT® is taken entirely digitally on a computer and is adaptive – the level of difficulty and the number of tasks adapt to your level. Registration is handled via toefl.org; search there for the test centre "Eloquia" under "Frankfurt am Main".
50 tasks: Complete the Words, Read in Daily Life, Read an Academic Passage.
47 tasks: Listen and Choose a Response, Conversation, Announcement, Academic Talk.
12 tasks: Build a Sentence, Write an Email, Write for an Academic Discussion.
11 tasks: Listen and Repeat, Take an Interview.
Total duration approx. 2 hours (excluding instructions). As the test is adaptive, the duration and number of tasks may vary slightly. The Overall Score is the average of the four sections, rounded to the nearest half band.
Since 21 January 2026, the TOEFL iBT® has used a new 1–6 scale (in half steps). During a two-year transition phase, a comparable score on the previous 0–120 scale is also provided.

MyBest® Scores ("Superscores") combine your best section results from all valid TOEFL tests taken in the last 2 years. Many universities accept them – check the requirements of your target institution.
Yes. The test fee includes up to 4 free official score reports, which you can send via your ETS account until 22:00 on the test day. Additional reports cost US $25 per institution.
